What's actually in a social media package
A monthly package is the agency's work — strategy, content creation, posting and reporting — not your advertising budget. When comparing quotes, look past the headline price at what you actually get: how many platforms, how many posts per month, whether short video (Reels) is included, who writes and designs the content, and whether paid ads are managed.
The single biggest quality difference in 2026 is video. Plans that include Reels and short clips reach far more people than static-image-only plans, which is why they cost more — and usually deliver more.
- Number of platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Posts per month and whether short video is included
- Custom design and captions vs recycled templates
- Community management (replying to comments and DMs)
- Paid ads management and monthly reporting
Indicative package tiers in India (2026)
As a market guide: a basic plan (one or two platforms, around 8–12 static posts a month) usually runs ₹8,000–₹15,000. A standard plan that adds short video, more platforms and community management typically costs ₹15,000–₹35,000. A premium plan with full strategy, frequent video, campaigns and ad management runs ₹35,000–₹75,000 and up.
Remember that advertising spend sits on top of these fees. If a plan looks unusually cheap, it's almost always fewer posts, no video, and little strategy — which is why it rarely produces enquiries.
How to choose the right package
Start from the outcome you want — enquiries and sales — not the number of posts. For most local businesses, a focused standard plan on the one or two platforms your customers actually use, with short video included, beats a cheap plan spread thinly across five platforms. Ask to see examples of the video and design you'll get, and make sure reporting ties activity to real enquiries.
